Hi Taylor and a very warm welcome to the Scale Models forum.

We are a very freindly group of modellers who enjoy sharing our experiences and resources and we just about cover every aspect of modelling between us. Don't worry we all started somewhere and we all had to learn along the way so don't think of yourself as not very good. Even people who have been doing this for 30 years or more are still learning and still striving to produce the perfect replica.

Have a good search through our archives and tutorials and look through the gallery and I am sure that you will find something of interest there.

I look forward to seeing some of your own models when you feel like sharing them with us.

Life is a learning curve Taylor,a warm welcome here, and dont worry you will soon sharpen up your modelling techniques,so step into the Scale-Models virtual workshop.

thanks for all of the welcomes. im gonna try to get some of my models pictured and posted in the gallary tonight. I have just started with the tamiya 1/35 military figures, and i think they are more difficult than i thought they would be.

Hi Taylor, welcome to the group, these guys are the best, (a bit hidebound though-nobody seems to think a plastic model 'plane can be made to fly using electric power!, but I'm sure it can be done).

Steve.

Ps. these lads have me helped me no end and always most graciously but remember-when it comes to asking what you think might be obvious-I'm the Daddy!

some very nice models there Taylor!!

i take it you like the old american cars then???

Thread owner
Nice old cars Taylor, thanks for sharing. It is nice to see some examples of models from an area of modelling that we haven't spent a great deal of time with so far.

Bartley, we didn't say it couldn't be done, we just said that the airspeed required to generate the necessary lift would be extreemly difficult to acheive with todays technology.

Give it a go, show us what you can do and prove us wrong!!

If you can get any 1/72nd scale plastic off the shelf kit to fly under its own power you should be very rich very quickly.

If you do make sure you get a picture but you'll need an unbeleivably fast shutter speed 'cos the thing will be moving at a hell of a rate!!
