Im currently building the Grumman F-14 Black Knights kit by tamiya at a 1:32 scale and Im having some trouble in screwing the screws in for the wings they just keep turning just wondered if anyone had any tips.

I'm thinking you have over tightened them and the threads in the screw have chewed the plastic up. Only one thing to do.... Fill the hole with a hard filler that can be filed/drilled, milliput? then drill out once hardened and screw the screw in again. CAREFULLY!!!

I completely agree with Ian. Screwing into plastic has to be done with a very gentle touch as it doesn't take much to strip the thread off the plastic. Another variation is to fill the hole and then very gently replace the screws. When the filler has set then you can very gently tighten the screw a fraction of a turn more.

Or you could fit the wings with polystyrene cement.

I have found a way of sorting it by super gluing the hole then put the screw in and it holds perfect.
