Hi guys and gals, I hope someone can offer me some assistance I am in the process of designing a diorama but have hit a bit of a snag. For this dio I need to convert a willies jeep in to a cj7 sahara and my main issue is the wheels. The dio is in 1/35 can anyone offer any advice on this, the wheels I am looking for are the ones on the jurrasic park cj7.......should give you a hint to the nature of the dio.

hope someone can help.

I reckon you might struggle scott , the sticking point being the scale . You can get a kit of the Jeep Wrangler in 1/25 by Revell but I dont think theres anything in 1/35 . The only thing i can think is to maybe look at some kids toys in pound shops or similar , you may be able to get a cheap car that you can use the wheels off , cheers tony

Hi Tony cheers mate it is something I have been doing as well but the ones I've seen are either too big or too small, but I will keep looking failing that I might have to find a way to build them.

I was going to say the same as Tony maybe a toy,or what about the desist type of a kub-wag ,

or if you are thinking of making then, can help,

No1 use the inside rim,of what you have

No2,then use the paper kitchen hand paper, socked in water 50/50 %,to the over all width you wont,

No3 build this up to the high you need, layer a pond layer

No4 then when you have the hight you need let dry maybe will take a few days to a week,or so

No5 once dry then start to shape to what you are after using a file, and hobby knife

hope this is some type of help, ;)

Cheers folks, Monica it might come down to having to scratch build, Eddie thanks a lot mate I would appreciate that very much, Richard cheers for the links I will have a good look. Here is something I have been thinking about what would be the size difference between 1/35 and 132 as I might consider buying the 1/32 jeep cj7?

Hi Scott have you thought of using the 1:35 Toyota pick up wheels, E.T models do a set of replacement resin wheels, they look great and would be the ideal wheel for what you are looking for.View attachment 100262
Cheers tommy this may do the job I will look into a set.

Hi all I managed to find a 1/32 cj7 jeep, not quite sure if I will use it yet not sure if it will fit with 1/35. I will need to see when it arrives, thanks for all your help so far.

I shouldn't think the difference between 1/35 an 1/32 would notice.
