discussion Help needed with modern RAF grey

Hi guys,

My current built is a 2002 era RAF Tornado F.3 ADV.

My internet searching has indicated this would have been painted in BS626 camouflage grey. Can anybody give me an idea of what would be the closest match in (preferably) Mission Model paints, or failing that Tamiya?

A quick search and a bit of conversion I have come up with tamiya equivalent XF55 camouflage grey I might be wrong but a longer search may come up with something different.

Thanks Peter. So far I have come up with XF-19 (Flat Sky Grey) and XF-83 (Flat Medium Sea Grey), but I will have a look at XF-55 as well.

I've emailed Jon at Mission Models to get his input, failing which I think I will go with XF-19.

Just had a look and xf-19 dosent look bad at all i wish tamiya would bring out a new colour set representing modern colours to compliment what they already have which is very much ww2 based

I thought it might be a little light, but by the time it's weathered it should be ok.

I'm really surprised that so few companies seem to do modern RAF colours??

I did look at them Pete, I was just hoping to stick to a brand I was used to.
