Hi folks ...

An unusual one here.

Had a request from a guy in Canada who is looking for a UK source for model display cases (traditional by the sound of it i.e polished wood base with glass box) size 30" long by 12" wide by 10" high.

Its to contain a model built for his son who is getting married in Scotland in August.

Can any one point me at a reliable source of good quality display cases please.

All the stuff that pops up on web searches is for industrial displays and not quite what he wants.

have you thought about going to a cabinate makers and asking how much it would be to make one?

Here are two that I have had experience with. The first one is a smashing bloke, very helpfull, freindly and accommodating. He supplied a case to my exact specs, unfinished so that I could finish the wood myself.

The second link proved to be not very freindly nor accommodating so I wouldn't recommend them unless someone is desperate.

NB the problem with cabinet makers is really that of reliability ...... how to judge and so on. Regrettably hindsight dosen't work too well in advance.
