I've just sprayed a model using plasti-kite aerosol spray instead of waiting till it was completely dry I moved it and guess wot I dropped it so now I've got carpet fluff and its badly marked in places wot can I use to strip the paint off or is it just fit for the bin any advice would be fearfully cheers

I don't know that paint but you need to find a solvent that will shift it. I'd suggest white spirits or methylated spirits to start with. Some acrylics come off nicely with isopropyl alcohol or a DILUTE ammonia solution. If you are really stuck (no pun intended) you can put the model in a freezer bag overnight with a good coating of oven cleaner. This one should be a last resort.

ye cheers unfortunately ive already used white spirit and it made the model brittle and break-up so it is now consigned too the bin got to try and find a company that does tamiya replacement parts now dont suppose you know of any cheers for the advice anyway much obliged

if the paint is acrylic you can use oxi clean to totally strip it off. just put some oxi clean in a bucket (or however big of a container you need) with warm water. let the parts sit for about 5 minutes then run them under warm water to wipe it all off. you're back to the original plastic at that point. i've used that method a couple times now and haven't had any problems.

Still tacky after 4 days. Came to the conclusion it did not like plastic models. Must have a solvent which is not compatible.
Where did that Hurricane get to yes the bin. So did the Plasti-Cote with a good number of choice phrases. Also kicked the bin. Fury has no limits !
Great lesson use the manufacturer of the paint you are using for all coats to be applied.
