NOW as the title says i need help as I cannot think of the name of the subject matter as I tryin to buy some for my tiger now the gadget is a metal ring with different size holes in the centre an a allen grub screw fitted in it so that it can be fitted over a shaft an the allen grub screw is tightened up so it wont slip an I thought they were called collets but when I looked collets up it was not what i wanted can anyone HELP

"Shaft collar" might prove a better thing to search for Chris

They are very like drill depth stops too.
 
Try searching drill stop collar on EBay chris , it brings up loads , hope this helps , cheers tony

WELL HI again guys cor you guys are on the ball yes you all are right give your selves a pat on the back an a gold star each 20 collars ordered off ebay now I can stop pullin me hair out lol MANY THANKS YOU GUYS i wanted them to fit on my radar motor sharfts but lord knows why I called them colletts

This is such a good place to look for help I have to try. Does anyone have the winning numbers for next Friday's lottery?

Actually I knew exactly what you were asking for, in the colonies we do call it a collet, and Yak had the perfect description as that is one of the most common uses for it, comes in multiple sizes, got to get used to you guys talking funny :tongue-out3:

OH HI Bobnv so I was right to call it that then as I vaguely remember when I bought some from my local model shop im sure they were called collets on the pack but its some yrs ago but it just stuck in my mind as when I went on ebay an put that name in all that came up was collets that fit in the dremell chuck an I thought well I must have got the name wrong so hence the call for HELP on here an the guys were very quick to answer to my amazement so it shows how good this forum is for help an ( sorry for waffelin on see we talk funny again :rolling: :smiling5: ) Bobnv but you will get use to us ;):tongue-out3: ATB STAY SAFE
