Though we have gotten our usual snows up to now, (Great Lake effect snows) 2, 3 or 6 inch weekly "snow showers" as we call them, are quite common this time of year.
We in these mountains take them easily in stride, but this one storm on coming promises to be something special...YIPEE! :tongue-out3: Three feet or more:rolling:View attachment 326824View attachment 326825View attachment 326826

Our roads into these hinterlands are not maintained by state or county, those living in our environs are on our own:fearful:
We've dealt with this kind of natural disaster time after time, but it always takes one near the edge.:unamused:

These storms are definitely getting more severe over the years, oh! did I mention -45 to -50 degrees blow zero F. wind chill with massively drifting snow.
So much for global warming aye!!
Those wacky media folk here are all absorbed about some cocka-mamie 'women's march' protesting the absolutely horrible abuses of women's rights here in America!!
lead by a Muslim woman:tongue-out3::tears-of-joy:
Pardon me folks, just the thought of it has broken me for a bit :smiling6::smiling6::smiling6::smiling5::smiling5::smiling5::smiling5:

Wow!!! I live in the mountains as well, but we have only a cold weather, by the moment....:smiling6::smiling6::smiling6:

... amazin' what relatively trivial stuff people protest about when there are so many, many major issues!

Jim, we out here in Montana have had only a touch of what you are going through.
"Ditto" your thoughts on global warming. As for the "nut Jobs" in the media or congress...
Think I'll cling to my guns and Bible a bit longer.:smiling5:

A Montanan! you know all too well being in blizzard country yourself.
Upper Adirondack snow belt, whatta place!
Even when there are no weather systems 'lake effect' snows can be brutal and nonstop for days or even weeks!
Hope all turns out well, it's always a nail biter these big ones, wish us luck and hopefully we can come out on the other side none too worse for wear:face-with-head-bandage:

Politics has become the theater of the absurd, left wing media are a bunch of demented circus monkeys frothing at the mouth with Trump hatred
positively revolting!:tongue-out2:

Haven not seen any snow yet....
Could I remind you all about the "no politics" rule.
(a really hilarious joke here but I had to stop myself.)

Lucky man for having so much snow Jim, we have some forecasted next Tuesday…can’t wait.:smiling:

That is a lot of snow! We get an inch over here in the UK and every thing grinds to a halt! Last year a train company cancelled trains on the prediction of snow, which didn't happen...

Snowed Saturday into Sunday, first of the winter that actually covered the ground. 10 cm maybe, hard to tell with the wind

-11C (13F) right at the moment and will drop to -18(-1) tonight. Wednesday forecast rain with a daytime high of 4 (39)
