Evening. Like many others i was part of the soon to be gone MM site.

My main interest is the mighty Stug and am a true nerd lol. I also love Nightfighters.

Outside modelling I drive Alfa's and teach in a tech college.

Hope to post my efforts soon and look forward to being part of the site

Cheers Bob

Hi Bob, great to see you've joined us here at SM.
Looking forward to see what you'll build here first.

I started an Electrical Technicians' course there when I stated work at Llandaff, but it was a one day, one evening course, and I couldn't get to the evening session unless I finished work early - which they wouldn't allow! So I did a Radio & TV course at Llandaff instead. Over the 8 years I was a part-time student, part-time lecturer, and the day job was a lab technician. 4 hours teaching a week more than doubled my take-home pay as a technician!

good god you were busy! Its a different college now. sadly! I teach apprentices how to repair truck and buses

Had to be busy so I could afford to eat Bob! Even after being upgraded, I was still paid less than the Government's "poverty level". Didn't stop them taxing me though. Exam time was always good, I used to invigilate for 12 hours a day, then could have a spree at the end of the month. Great place to work though, I'd still be there if the pay had been better.

Did you know a motor vehicle technician named Bernard Cosh?

Hi Pete. Before my time Pete. I am now the longest servicing auto staff member. You might have known Dean Clarke, he was there for donkey years?

Hi Steve delighted to hear from you. Will do my best !

Sorry, I don't remember Dean Clarke. Then again, I struggle to remember what I had for breakfast these days.
