Hi Friends.

I've started to work on this kit from Orange Hobby.

The kit is resin, etched and brass with decals.

I'll only be taking a few pics during this build, just to show where I'm at with it.

To be honest it is already driving me batty(such tiny piece's).

We like floaty things;). Only ever got one resin ship, I binned it, it was a terrible casting. This looks nice though.

Ralph your going to need the patients of a saint going by the amount and the size of the pe, good luck.

I'm in...being an ex skimmer

I served on the sister ship HMS Chatham (F87) back in late 89/ 90, had a jolly down to Gibraltar.

I enjoyed my short time on her.

Will be spotting from time to time...do her proud Ralph ;)

I joined the RN straight from school in 83 but suffered a serious head injury and was medically discharged in 84.

The one I got was a WEM kit, can't remember what it was but put me off for life. Do like 1/700 plastic though, got a Tamiya Yamato started somewhere. Got shed loads of old Revel ship kits :(

Thanks Graham, the Cleo looks great, shame it's got Seacat and not Seawolf missile system...oh and the 40mm! o_O

Am I being picky???

Nice looking kit Ralph. I'm sure you will do an excellent job.

I don't envy you one bit though, all that etched stuff! Way beyond my level of skill or patience.

Can't wait you see this in all its glory...looking good so far Ralph, how does the weapon systems look? Seawolf, Harpoon, 4.5 and not forgetting the destructive Goalkeeper (anti aircraft/ missile system)?

Thanks Lee.

The weapons systems look real good.

Though I have had to replace the sea wolf with some from an old Skywave kit( the cat decided it would be fun to nick the originals, she nicked the whole sprue gate luckily most was still left on it, the rest has gone to the carpet monster).
