Due to dexterity issues with my hands, I decided that this build would be strictly OOB, with virtually no rigging and any kit inaccuracies would not be fixed. Accordingly, I did enjoy some bits of this build although the flexing of the decks did cause problems.

Why did they painnt it red and white?...... May as well made it a bullseye 😆
I came across this "...used red and white stripes on the bows of some warships to help their own aircraft identify them from the air, thereby preventing friendly fire incidents. This high-visibility pattern was a response to friendly fire attacks that occurred after the Battle of Calabria in 1940. These recognition stripes were gradually removed starting in 1943..."
