I bought this kit several months ago, if you can call it a kit. It comes in about twenty pieces, made from dicast metal and plastic parts. Everything is painted and the whole assembly uses very small screws instead of glue. But it looks nice.

I manage to build it in less than an hour, but it has made a nice model, to display with my other bikes when I get round to building them.

Nice, the detail isn't so bad, how about some weathering haha mud and grunge! Still looks nice as it is though

Nice bike!!!

I'm with Dougie! Why you don't try to add some weathering or a pin wash? Looks the perfect model to play with it ;)

  o_O Sorry, but I prefer to keep my models as showcase models, as I like them to look like new..

Nice little kit, one thing could you not fill the heads on the screws in the yoke, was it a pricey kit as it looks good quality, sorry I'm with the others, it's a working bike and would have been dirtied the second it left the showroom.

Which is the manufacturer ? If I can ask... :)
It is a New Ray Model. You can buy it ready assembled or as a kit like I did, I think I paid £12. 99 for it.

Yes Ken, I was thinking of filling the heads on the Yoke screws, but as far as weathering is concerned, I am leaving it as it is. If I was including the model in a diorama, then I might have weathered it and added a rider.

Here is the same model in 1/12 & 1/6 scale. Mine was a bit cheaper as it was a kit instead of being assembled.

I think they are good value, with free postage, see other models by scrolling down the opening page of the link.

Can you take some good pictures Geoff as looking at one or two bits this looks superb.

Unfortunately your pictures are not playing service to your model skills.

On the "effects" thing I know how you feel. I found for a long time that it was almost sacrilege

to chuck all these effects on a pristine model. My first models for a good few years I

thought of them just out of the factory.

I often wonder if model makers appearance follows their preferences in model making.

That is pristine or messy !

Here you are Laurie. Just taken these again outside, where the light is better. The only thing that spoils this model imho, is the spokes, they look a bit too chunky, otherwise they are nice models. Maybe I should blacken the chain, I'll see.

Regarding my models of Bikes and Cars, I prefer to display them as showcase models. If I was modelling Military stuff, I would probably go for weathering.
