Wellcome to you all this you will find is the best resource with the friendliest people around ! we hope you will enjoy your participation and lookforward to sharing your work

Step inside the Scale-Models virtual workshop you guys, dont trip over the pile of balsa in the passageway, watch the wet paint on a few models, and avoid the card and wood chippings everywhere ! this is one big meeting place for any type of scale modeller, sometimes things overlap but who cares as long as you are enjoying yourselves, that is all that matters ! and many a time we gleam a new way of doing something from modellers who build something different, yes pull up a floorboard and take a seat.

Yep, I will certainly go along with that Barry, No better place to be !!!

and a BIG warm welcome to all the New members whom I have not had a chance to say hello to yet, I hope you enjoy it on here as much as the rest of us do.

Regards......Mark.

I came here via an invitation in one of the Cardmodelers.net threads. So far, I've figured out how to respond to a thread, but it is not that obvious how to start a new one.

I hope that you enjoy your time here and benefit from the freindly atmosphere and the resources we have to offer.

To start a new thread you need to go to the forum page itself, from the Site Navigation pane on the left, and enter the required category that you want to start a new thread in. Say you go to Ships and Boats-Pictures then press the New Thread button at the top.

Howdy Darwin,

Glad you decided to come visit, we are glad to have you here. I think Bunker probably explained better than I could on how to start a new thread.

This site is basically identical to the cardmodels set up, only the forums are named different.

The people here are very nice too and very helpful as well. Plus, they seem to be very interested in cardmodels and the "how to's" of the hobby.

So jump right in and share what ya know and maybe you will learn something too. Be sure to check out the galleries of the people writing in the threads, there are some great looking models in there.

Anyway, again, we are glad to have you here, I am sure I will be seeing you in both forums (here and cardmodels).

Have a good day,

Greg aka GEEDUBBYA (GW)

The BBC directed me, looking for 'diorama tutorials'.

Im off to start a 'weathering powders' thread :D

Son of Cardmodels.net too.

And yes, this forum is also great. To have many points of view on modelism is food for thought.

Hello fellow forum members!

I'm new to these here forums

I surfed in looking for advice on Airbrushing and found Nigel D's helpful article here:

http://www.scale-models.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2318&page=3&pp=10

Hi Alan and a very warm welcome to the forum. I'm glad you found Nigels posting usefull and I am sure he is pleased that it brought you to us.

Enjoy your time here and feel free to post your own experiences.

de ja vu. thats what bought me here as well. it was very very usefull and i doubt i would have baught an air brush if i had not have read it. it gave me the confidence on knowing how to do it.

I found this forum when I was doing a "Messerschmitt colour scheme" search on Google. Haven't looked around much yet but site looks promising...

winkey10

I am a member of cardmodels.net and heard about this group there.

Howdy Winky,

Glad to have you here, I am Greg and more than likely you read a posting by me inviting all of the nice people over at cardmodels.net to visit here. At the same time, I invited all of the people here to visit the cardmodels site.

I too am a cardmodeler and found this site sometime ago and thought that I would share my two favorite sites with my friends at each site.....kind of a "sister site" type thing. There are many cardmodelers who post here now and then and i am sure if you visit the cardmodels site often, you will see names from this site there.

To me, we are all "scale modelers" be they in plastic, wood, metal or card.

Anyway as you can tell, I tend to ramble abit, so again, welcome to the forum, if you have any questions feel free to ask, and by all means, comment on any topic you see here that catches your eye. If you have models, be they card or plastic, we'd love to see photos.

Have a good day,

Greg
