Hi, I was looking for information on backdating the Tamiya Enterprise and one of my google links led to your web site.

incidently, is the illustration of Wallace and Gromit on the FSM magazine representing a past or future copy or just made up for fun. I have all but one of FSM and cannot recall this one

was trying to find free downloads of card model ships and came over this one. I have not had too much luck with downloads of the ships I would like because they are in Japanese. Do you know of any sites with free downloads of carco vessels in 400th scale.
Hi Justin and a warm welcome to the site.

There is a chap who posts on here who has access to an unbelieveable range of card model resources.

Greg, where are you!!?

Until then enjoy your time here and make the most of what we have.

Hi Jjayel and a warm welcome. The Enterprise project sounds like quite an undertaking. I know that kit is a major task out of the box without doing a conversion job on it as well. Keep us posted on your progress.

As for the magazine cover, it was put together by one of our accomplished Photoshop experts, Gedubbya, who did it for John.

A Google search for info on building the Engel Typhoon, which I'm interested in building, brought me here.

Curiosity – searched Google with 'Ben Ain' re my Mountfleet model project

Hi there. I found it via Google. Typed in - Tamiya + model + forum - found y'all on page three I believe.

I found you on google whilst trying to get information on micro lathes.

Hi Doug and a warm welcome to the forum. Make the most of the resources we have to offer and feel free to add your own postings when you can.

Hi John,

thanks for the welcome, to be honest I was looking for information on Lathes.I think the wording I used was "Seig mini lathe" on the google, which brought up a thread on your forum.

On a personal note I have a R/C electric helicopter that I am in the process of learning to fly and that I am looking for a micro lathe Taig/peatol/unimat or similar to try some engineering of small parts.

I did join the group with the purpose of gleening information as to which lathe to go for and avoid, but as I suspect as my skill levels develope I may be building scale models one day.

Best Regards

Geoff

I bought a small Taig lathe, I'm very pleased with it and i've already made some nice work on it but still need to kit it out with a few more accessories for the jobs i need to work on.

i have a unimat, its quite elderly now but perfect for doing those little turning jobs, well happy with it, plus great for machining up model boat fittings !

Well I was searching for information about an aircraft called FRX-00 Mave, this is an aircraft from a Japanese animation program, since I enjoy interesting subjects to try to build I'm constantly looking for information on these many diffrent subjects, like this one.

hi all, found the site when searching for a model motorcycle, they all seem to be 1/9th or 1/12th nowadays but back in the day (mid to late 70's) i seem to remember being able to get 1/6th sizes. just cant seem to get them now. also the bikes that are on sale seem to be old classic racers or the racers of today. any help in pionting me in the right direction would be greatly recieved.

PS: saw that a few of you are bikers on here, so im in a good crowd ( ride a zrx1200r eddie lawson rep and a zx9, both of course in green lol)

rob

Hi Rob and welcome to the forum. I used to enjoy making the 1/6th bikes especially the Heller ones with the engines built up of individual plates. They do seem to have lost thier popularity though nowadays.

I hope you enjoy your time here and post some of your own pictures sometime.

There's a great buy on Ebay atm - but only three hours to go!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Petol-Model-Makers-Lathe_W0QQitemZ330173591299QQihZ014QQcategoryZ112399QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It has a typo in the description it's a Taig / Peatol lathe with some nice accesories too but listed as Petol Lathe so not many bids.

Hello everyone,

Cheers,
