Just out of interest, how did you find this forum? if it was from a search engine which one?, and can you remember what search words you used?I think it would be useful in promoting the site to get more members :)
I was looking for a local club to join or even to start one and found the forum through Google. Glad I found it!

Not real sure how but I got here thanks to this thread: http://www.scale-models.co.uk/tutorials/2298-back-basics.html

Which led me to digging through old boxes and pulling out an old "snap" model. which od course led me to going out and buying new supplies. haha. We'll see how the old chevy turns out.

Retired in Texas

I was searching the net for sites that had free card modeling areas, and was directed to this site by a link, I don't remember which one,

As soon as I got here I looked around some and decided this is one of the forums I would like to join, I have been interested in aircraft as a young kid. I can remember seeing a Republic RC-3 SeaBee flying aound and landing on a large tank of water near my old home in the Rio Grand Valley in South Texas around 1950 ( that's letting my age show) and saw an actual one up close when visiting my daughter in washington state. I almost missed my flight because of looking. anyway, I joined this forum to download and have gotten my grandkids interested in card modeling...I think if more people would involve their kids and other younger people in a hobby like this, there wouldn't be as much crime on the streets.

Thanks for the chance to join.

Daniel
