Welcome to all our new members, I don't reply to this post everytime someone posts, I would run out of stuff to say :) but I do like to know how people found us, thanks :)

In reply to your post, I found this site while using Google during a rare quietish time at work (I work in Cumbernauld College as an IT Technician). I have recently rekindled my interest in modelling - after a break of about 25 years! - when my wife bought me a 1/48 model Me109F on a summer holiday visit to the Yorkshire Air Museum. I was actually looking for hints on using an airbrush! I've just completed a 1/72 Airfix Halifax Blll which I received as a 50th birthday present. Unfortunately, my modelling skills have gotten a bit rusty over the years, so a bit of practice is still required. If I have managed to do this OK, I've attached photos of these 2 builds. They are brush painted as I am still trying to source spare part replacements for my ageing Sprite Aerograph airbrush.

re your parts for a sprite is it a 63 or plain sprite i have some spares for a 63 that may do you give me a pm and let me know????

I found this site when I was lookng for a better set of plans for the Fairey Swordfish. I had unfortunately purchased the Turnkey edition and very quickly tossed them in the trash (not scale and very busy with lots of parts for its size of 37"). I think I found a set from Traplet at 60" which I will set up for electric.

A bit of background on myself. I have been involved with building and flying for approx. 15 yrs. and have switched over to electric completely 7 years ago. I enjoy scale, WW1 and WW2 bombers.

Being near the coast, it tends towards the windy side, but I have enough different types in weight to manage most winds, or I go sailing.

I hope that I can still learn a tricks from you all and I'll be glad to share a few of my own. BTW, I am trying to draw out my own decals in AutoCad as I am not satisfied with what it available. As I complete them I will post them here.

Nice idea, if anyone else has any decals they have designed it would be good if you could post them for others to use :)

I like the sound of some of your projects there,please feel free to place some pictures for us all to see,I have never used Autocad although I understand it is not an easy system to use ? what I normally do is do larger scale artwork and scale it down,then print it off on my modest printer,the results can always be touched in with paint to bring out the colours.

I take your point about living near the coast in windy conditions ! I have visions of a Sopwith one and a half strutter just about making headway ! good to have you onboard.

Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter

Here's a close up of the cowl, which I know is not scale(that was what I got in the kit), showing the engine cylinders. They are made of paper reinforced with CA. It is then spot glued on the shaft so that it will turn as did the original rotary. It causes no loss in power. I have the CAD file and will be glad to share it here if there is interest.

*** Great combination FSG,the duration will be excellent with the Lithiam cells,just make sure that your ESC is a compatible unit for the Lipo's,but you have no doubt sorted that side.

Your flight test will be welcome here,that prop looks mighty efficent.

wonwingloI probably will use a 600 maH 6 cell (NimH) are I have a bunch of them.

The coreless motor, even with that pack has tendencies of making the plane a 3D ! The prop also came from the site below. Helpful people there.
