Colin that's an amazing shed. What a great place to work in.

Vaughan

Wow Colin bet that has set a few thinking about setting aside a bit of garden.

Laurie

I am so jealous Colin. Once I was in that shed I dont think I would want to come out. You wouldnt just happen to have a nice ten year malt hidden in there would you?

Thanks guys, really pleased with how it's coming along.

Now there's a thought Steve.. drinks optics on the back wall?

Managed to do a bit of airbrushing for the first time in there this afternoon, only problem I had was I had to come in for dinner!! Lol.

Atb, Colin.

Mines an old computer table in an alcove in the corner of the living room with a few shelves for stuff, which is blocked at the moment by one of armchairs, cos a new 4 ft fishtank has taken it's place. So no building at the moment. I think i'm reasonably tidy but the GF says I'm a scruffy b, who leaves paint containers, half built kits and assorted other stuff all over the place, but like others I know where it all is :picknose:, honest:winkingshades:

Tony.

Having spent a few hours adding all the aftermarket bits to last week's purchase, this is what I've ended up with.

Most of you guys say you know where everything is regardless of how tidy/messy your workbench is. Alas, I have no such luck. Having just finished it and piled on everything out of the assortment of boxes it used to be kept in, I have no idea where anything is at the moment!

The consolation is that as I now live on my own, my lounge has become my own personal 'man-cave'! The pictures show three of the four walls, the fourth is where the fire is so I'm quite comfy and cosy whether I'm watching TV, reading, modelling or playing on my 'puter.

How is my work station?

Pristine and never been used! Here's a couple of piccies.

I get home for a break in ten days or so and intend to make a right mess of this (and an unlucky Fw190) :)

Cheers

Steve

Take it the beers & wine are in the double fronted fridge Steve.

Laurie

If only Laurie,if only.

I have to walk to the kitchen for a glass of wine! A flaw I concede, but not a fatal one :)

Cheers

Steve

Nice and tidy Steve

How you finding the Exagon extract? I was undecided between that one and the Graphicair A300 D.

I have a Jekyll and Hyde workstation. I have to use my bedroom so I build on my computer desk. Messy when I've got the gear out and and everything put away afterwards (by order!) I'd love a dedicated work station like some of those shown.

It was recommended by a friend who loves his. I've only used it once, experimentally, with some water to get an idea of how it would work and it seemed very capable. It is also very quiet.

I like the fact that it can sit as in the photo or face up,as I have always sprayed standing up and never put the model down. It works for me,though I know many people prefer to have the model on a turntable or similar.

Cheers

Steve

Same here steve. I hold my model when i spray i just put a plastic glove on to avoid fresh prints.

I scored 100 gloves for $1.

I airbrush standing up could not see how you can sit but suppose you can. Just that I move about to get good angles.

But I also stand to do most model making. I have a stand on my original work bench to give height. The chair I use is an old clerks (Dickension) high chair so that I can sit for detailed work, such as canopy masking etc.

Find it much easier standing as work is, for an OAP, less neck bending & also easier to work. Maybe as in earlier years before Computer Assisted Drawing I spent 50% of my working years standing at a drawing board & habits formed.

There is a pay back for lack of an aching neck aching legs.

Does any one else stand while working ?

Laurie I do a bit of both. The more detailed work I tend to do sitting down.

Reading this thread I realise just how very, very lucky I am!

Here are two shots of my 'workstation' up in the roof space......One end for modelling, and the other for shelves, listening to loud music, getting on the PS3, 'tinternet and most important, a diddy fridge with a few cans inside!

A total and utter tip and it's all MINE!

I do allow one visitor. My best mate, our Mastif doggy.

Cheers,

Ron

It just goes to show the variation in the spaces that we can manage in!

I'd like to point out that now I've got a project on the go my area is not quite as pristine as it was. I literally stood up,to make a cuppa, and took this piccy, absolutely not posed.

Cheers
