Hi Vaughan what the images don't show is the spray both which is behind the my seat , what I have done is connect a vax to the extraction unitc( saves on holes in the wall) and it just works a treat.
That's cunning! Mine just goes out of a window.

Cheers

Steve

My paint racks Stephen are made form B & Q strip wood & hardboard. Think they were about £7 each rack & holds about 120 Vallejo type bottles.

Also made one with deeper slots for larger Brush cleaner & glues etc.

You can see on page 1 of this article. Illustrates how even when the world is on its side the bottles still stay in position !

thanks for that tecdes, i have some spare wood so i may be able to put one together , the only problem is the misus says that she wants 1 for the kitchen first :emo2:

Well you know the miss is always right,

built mine myself too, did have mine in a box ans spent ages looking for the colour I wanted, now I just look up and there it is

Like that Jason. Has that lived in comfortable look.

I like to be tidy but do not go for the clinical look. Having worked in Architecture all my life I deplored that minimal fashion when it came along.

Seemed to me to denude people of all character & strip away all artistic decision.

I love visiting old Smithies & Joinery shops. They have that smell & lived in feel.

Laurie

Thanks Laurie,

I known what you are saying, I have a friend that lives in a house that is so empty, it echoes when you talk...they say it is contemporary......i say it not a home

Wow!! I'd love to have a space like that to work in!! At the moment I'm building on the dining room table and painting out on a very dusty balcony. Not ideal!

You might say wow, but has take 20 years and three kits to finally be able to get my own dream craft room.

and Ole I dont believe that is your modelling table....where's yours gone

Martin nice.

well if your wifey says it is then it must be, when my wifey says it is something it is....lol....no matter what

Someone had to say it Laurie!

I didn't realise until after reading your reply, that the "rocking out on the kitchen worktop" bit could make my post sound so much worse than was intended. Haha.

Johnpipe's workbench, now moved to living room:

I've only recently got "back in the groove" as my normal health is returning (my body is more happy to only have the major illness to work on, not two man-made and un-necessary medical disasters!). My bench only gets clean when getting ready for the next major project; otherwise, it ususally looks a lot like this!

Of course, this does not show the left-hand side of the room, where the Workmate 425 sits with the 2in belt sander (fortunately the 425 folds up and goes into the closet in the spare room (aka "workroom"), the sander will fit behind the Jet Mini lathe in the kitchen, and I must move everything around in a little while for plumbing repairs involving the room heaters)!
