Another post from a newby!

I'm putting together a Starbase for my, er I mean my kids, Gundam figures (I make them, the kids play with them).

Here goes:

First I create the Decal Sheets, here is the hangar bay:

Then I use the sheets as templates.I then cut out the foamcore shapes (I usually make the decals slightly larger than the foamcore panels, if you fold the edges over then the stickers don't peel off.

Then I use the hot glue gun to stick the parts together and voila, the hangar bay is complete:

Next the backdrop -

here is one of the panels for the backdrop:

These decal sheets are laid onto mounting board

Next are the buildings, here are some window panels I designed:

The playset is designed to be multiscale, the backdrop will have no particular scale and buildings of varying scales can then be added depending on the toys that I, er I mean my kids,are going to be playing with.
