I'm building a sea hurricane and I need to know Vallejo dark sea green is the right colour to go with the dark ocean grey (well I'm using the revell greyish blue which is close )

Any help is greatly received :)

The two colours were Extra Dark Sea Grey (which is as the name suggests a dark grey with a blueish hue, at least to my eyes) and Dark Slate Grey (which despite the name is distinctly green).

Someone else will no better how the Vallejo paints match up to these colours.

Cheers

Cheers Steve for the info :)

For a comparison Alan, Humbrol colours would be 123 for the Extra Dark Sea Grey and 224 for the Dark Slate Grey.

Vallejo's conversion chart Humbrol to Model Air:

HUM123 = 71053+71060 (you could possibly use HUM27 = 71053)

HUM224 = No known direct Vallejo comparison. I've seen HUM102 used in place of the HUM224 colour and that equates to Vallejo 71012.

It's a bit of a prick of a colour actually, as Steve says it is grey with a distinct green in it. Maybe Laurie has an idea, he uses Vallejo and has painted a few FAA aircraft.

Cheers joe that's a great help for the future I got a bit carried away with it today and completed it with the colours I have available but thank you again for giving me the real paint numbers as I will be doing a 1/48 sea fire in the future :)
