Hi guys, I just started modeling and was planning on creating a diarama of a firefight between german infantry and british any tips I could use?
Sorry Ryan...\ said:I'm useing 1:72 scale, if I wanted to add tanks what scale would you recomend for the 1:72 infantry?
So If I got 1:72 scale my tank would have to be 1:72 as well? Would that look alright next to my infantry, not to small?\ said:Sorry Ryan...Don't understand exactly your question.
The infantry or the figures have to be at same scale as the vehicle or tanks you build.
1/72 is a small scale, but you will find many kind of vehicles, buildings, planes and figures, for a very nice diorama.
Cheers adrian for the advise I'll take that on board\ said:I'll echo what the other have said, it's all about having fun, if your struggling with a model or building that particular diorama then put it to one side till your back in the right frame of mind. One of our clubs figure painters gave me some advice which I use in my builds now, do a little weathering and see if it looks right if it does put it to one side till the next day then take another look at it you may leave it or improve it but the break will give you fresh eyes on the subject. The members on this forum are always very helpful and there is such a deep pool of knowledge to delve into you will always get the answers to any questions you have.
Enjoy your modelling
Adrian
I'm not really new to modeling I have only done planes and hellicopters before never done this sort of stuff, I don't mind I am happy to hear what people got to say\ said:Yes mate 1/72 scale is the same whatever your building. so a 1/72 figure fits with a 1/72 scale vehicle. a very ambitious project for someone new to the hobby if you dont mind me sayingPaul
Sure mate\ said:Well best of luck with it. keep us posted on the progress
Naaah! It's pizza bases and garage sweepings that Ron uses, not shoelaces!\ said:If you need actually help with materials then one of the people to speak to is Spanner (ron), give him a shoe lace and some pva glue and he will build you a small city he's a modern day McGuyver, but if you need any help just put up a post and you will get all the assistance you need.scott
