Hello my Friends.
This is my 4000th post.
I really love this website.
What I think is the best thing is that there are no idiots on here and everyone is friendly.
All the best.
Ralph.

For the first time in ages I've looked at mine.

Oy Ralph, how come I've got nearly twice as many posts as you, yet we have the same points!?
I'm going to complain to a mod.....

I have the same as you Ron but far less posts, what are the points for?

No good asking me Paul. I only work here!
I'm not particularly interested in what they are for to be honest...... :upside:

No doubt someone will come up with the answer toot sweet.

:smiling5: I notice a lot of you guys have 113, I'm guessing that's the maximum.

Ralph, congrats. On your milestone accomplishment. Keep them coming and know that they are always welcomed. Cheers, Rick H.

You can see the points other people have by clicking on their name (to the left of any post), then on their name again in the pop-up that appears, and then on the About tab. Those with 113 points have:

Though perhaps some in a different order. It does look like 113 is the maximum this particular forum has been configured for, yes.

The points are awarded for reaching certain “achievements” on the forum — see the screenshot I posted above. For example, after your first ever post to the site, you get one point. If someone then likes that post, you get two points, and so on. They don’t mean anything and aren’t good for anything, other than comparing your own to those of other people.

Basically, it’s a little psychological trick to encourage people be active on a forum :)
