I've had an airbrush for ages, but the first and last time I used it was a total disaster and it put me off using it again, until today :) a mate of mine suggested using Vallejo paints, with them being water based it makes it dead easy to clean your stuff after use, and they don't stink the house out.

My first mix was way too runny went over board with the water, the second time I only added a few drops and it was almost perfect, I've used it just to break up the solid colour

I can see that using an airbrush for camouflage would make things a lot easier so that will be for my next project, but for this one just using it for more of a high lighted effect seems to have worked well, so it will be getting plenty of use in the future :)

:dan1: Yeahhhh Well done John See we told you !!!!!!:music_too

Very nice job John. If you try a bit of dry brushing on those lovely hatch detais you will see it come to life before your eyes.

Thats what I intend to do, I've only just started painting it and there's loads of things I want to try with it

John - did you use anything to break the water tension when you thinned the paint?

Well done John, everyone has their favourite materials and this paint seems to suit you,the results look excellent.

And above all it is good to see you building models, must be something to do with a certain forum ?

Just a couple of drops of water and a good shake :)

Any progress on this model - I'd like to see what you did next as far as weathering is concerned. Any more pics? :)

I made a bit of a mess with the dry brushing but I plan on finishing it off soon :)
