discussion Imai 1/150 Napoleon

Hi all,

Just started the 1850 Napoleon, the info on it really sucks, spent hours searching to only find 4 pictures of a completed model!!! having a problem with the gun cradles, as you will see, it has only two wheels and skates at the end. Since this was the very first warship with steam engine, is it possible that they were made with two wheels only?

Any info someone has would be greatly appreciated.

That is an odd carriage because if it represents a carronade they are usually set on a sliding block and have a front pivot and 2 wheels at the back to move it from side to side.

You could also do a google search on canon or carronade carriage styles to see what comes up.

Hi tony,

Thanks for the reply, yes, it is very odd to say the least. They list them at 30 pds high angle cannons and looking at the instructions, they show them with and without 4 wheels but they are all done with two! go figure...

You think it would be wise to add chains to hold the stacks?

I did not know that this kit was that rare.
