I remember building a replica .44 magnum as a kid. I don't think you can buy the kits anymore because they were so lifelike.
 
Sorry Ian, it was Paul E. that posted up the replicas.......my posts are the "real" deal. I did build custom sporting rifles for about 10 years.....lots more fun than building replicas, you get to try 'em out when you're done and see if they shoot well, or not. Cheers, Rick H.
