Sitting here bored to death, I started looking at Hannants Future Releases.

OK I know some things are a long time coming, and others just fade away with out seeing the light of day. Some things did rather stand out as having a bit of WOW factor. Like:

de Havilland Sea Vixen FAW.1 and also Heinkel He 177A-5 'Captured' both from MPM in 1/48

Eduard have A Jaguar GR1 and an A on the bench, both in 1/48 Airfix re-box perhaps?

Bristol Beaufort Mk ? from special Hobby

Trumpeter have a load in planing, these caught my eye, Grumman HU-16A Albatross flying boat, Douglas DC-3 Dakota, 1/48 scale

Fonderie Miniatures have a Short Sunderland Mk.III in 1/48 on the table. That's going to be a big bird.

Good grief! a Sunderland in 1/48th!! The old Airfix 1/72nd one was a good size kit in it's day. Admittedly in the day when my standard fare was 1/72nd fighters bought with a weeks pocket money of 2/6 !!

I to can remember the days when Airfix models were only 2/6 and the instructions were folded, the planes image printed on one side, and stapled to the plastic bag. Those were the days:smile:.

i just started a horrendous revell kit of a starfire which has 1954 stamped on the inside, its amazing the difference in quality of some kits of today.there is that much flash it almost looks like a vac form and the decal spaces are moulded on to the fuselage which is just as well as the decals in the kit are going to fall to bits as soon as i take them out of the bottom of the box.
