discussion IPA over decals

As usual, I applied decals over gloss varnish. Is it safe to use IPA over them, to remove fingerprints, before the final matt varnish?

I don't know what varnish you used but I'd be very careful before applying something like IPA.

A agree - ipa is great but can really eat into the varnish/paint.

I would wipe the model with a damp cloth once the decals have thoroughly dried out.

Are you applying a wash though? That would be usually be best over a gloss coat sealing the decals and before a matt coat.
