Italari 1/32 Panavia Tornado GR1

Just a thought Barry. If you cut the decal below the "Tornado GR" line then you could move that portion of the decal over to the left and move the lower section that says "25 Years Of Operations" across to the right so eveything would fit. OK it wouldnt be a true representation of the decal layout but might look better than no decal at all. Just a thought. The model is looking lovely as always.

Too late for that Steve. Removal of the decals destroyed them. If i knew they would not fit in the first place I might have done that.

On to the final fittings after a semi-matt coat and spraying the fin smoke stains.
The u/c fitted really well as did the bombs.

The rest of the stores for tommorrow,

More final fittings done and masking removed.

Below, you can see how under the mask the front canopy somehow got cracked. There is nothing I can do with it so I just have to live with it.

The wings still swing keeping the wing stores in the right position.

One quick pic of the completed Tonka. I need to wait for some pva glue holding transparencies to dry clear before I do completed pics.

This is a very good kit, not Tamiya good, but good. Yes the panel lines are slightly too wide though I have seen a lot worse. I dealt with that simply by not doing a panel line wash, enough primer from black basing shows through to do the job. It just needed some careful spraying. I kept the weathering light overall.

I like that very much indeed Barry (and it's so pink I'm irrevocably reminded of people wearing RAF cap badges ...)
