Italeri are one of the oldest European manufacturers still going - it has to be said that a lot of their products are a bit long in the tooth, and detail can be lacking. Fit can be patchy, some models good, others terrible.
The Lancia LC2 was designed for the World Sportscar Championship and was the team car for 1983-6. The Ferrari engine was very powerful, but reliability & fuel consumption limited its' success. lancia lc2.JPG

Interesting that the Martini name is blanked on the side & front, but not on the wing!

Sprue shots:

A large single piece moulding - obviously no engine bay!

Sprues clean, no flash, one or two sinks that may need attention

Two very small watchmakers screws! ( bottom right )

Decal sheet looks very nice clear and bright colours - one omission is no seat belts!
Instructions are normal i Italeri - line drawings on A4 fold out paper - look pretty clear

Part two for detail shots & comments.

A few detail shots:

Complex one piece moulding body - the panel lines look a little deep & detail a bit soft

A rather spartan cockpit ( I suppose the original was, as well )

The Italeri model dates back to 1984 ( decals changed 2019 ), and I'm afraid it shows, the parts aren't crisp, detail is soft or sparse. Having said that the one piece body makes painting easy ( all white! ) & the decals will really make the model. It would be easy for a beginner, if they can cope with the decals!
Availability - Yes - and here is the main drawback - it's on sale at £32 ( + p&p ), which seems rather high, when compared to other, more sophisticated models ( like the Tamiya Nissan R390 I reviewed ). I got mine off ebay for £19 delivered - which I considered a fair price!
It all comes down to cost versus how you really want this model!
