Hi all, ive been looking online for the above kits but im struggling to get the older ones. D Type, E Type , Mk11 , SS100 ( maybe ) Mk1x , but mostly an XJ6. Im sure some are not available but i live in hope. Any ideas guys?

Many Thanks.

Carl

I have been on eBay and tapped in jaguar car model kits quite a few came up mostly 'e'types a few ss100s might be worth looking.

what scale were you wanting? Heller do a 1:24 E type le mans. Or Revell do a 1:8 E type. Not many others available. Have you tried grand prix models or hiroboy websites?

Hi Carl you can get the 1:32 Airfix e type and 1:32 Matchbox Jaguar ss100 on ebay, they even have a range of Revell Jaguars, including a 1/16 Revell ss100, as well as kits from Heller, Hasegawa, and a 1/16 scale Riko Jaguar up in less than three hours, and a 1/24 Hasegawa XJ-S, hope this helps.

Thanks guys, thats a great help, scale doesnt bother me if i am honest. Its more for a remembrance thing for me.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Carl

academy used to do a 1/16 SS100, you can still pick them up on ebay, had one in the stash for years will get round to it one day
tamiya used to do a nice Mk II in 1/24 a few years ago
revell and i think Hasegawa do e types....revell certainly did a d type once

I have an unfinished SME (Scale Model Equipment) XK120 kit from the 1950s.

I love Jaguars - my avatar might give it away...

In the end, I was so fed up there are NO big kits of Jaguars, I scratch-built my own.
Why not try? It isn't the 'black art' everyone thinks.

A bit old this post, but I have some for sale and not only Jaguar.
Also have an Jaguar MKII saloon in mint condition.
Fujimi EM models also in mint condition.

Roy, thanks for sharing pictures of your fantastic scratch built jags.
Carl, SMTS did a 24th scale E type in white metal back in the 80's. Some of the other plastic Jag kits mentioned have been around for years and the moulds are getting tired. The later Jag such as the Tamiya Mk2 and other Jag offerings from Fujimi and Hasegawa are good. Even the big Revell 1/8th scale kit is the old Monogram one from the 1960's. There was, another 1/8th scale kit from a Japanese manufacturer that was from different moulds. Bandai? Revell should retool their tired old 1/25 scale kit of the E type with a new 1/24 scale one as it is such an iconic car. Surprised that Tamiya have never made one. There was one from Gunze that was reasonably good some time ago with some white metal parts.

If anyone is interested or mad like me there is a eaglemoss 1/8 e type currently in collecting mode I think we’re half way through at part 50 expensive though about £1200 quid see this picture of mine at the start I haven’t started it yet though one for you Roy to tinker with like your Aston Martin 007 DB5 oh and if you look down on the left on the floor there is also a 1/8 Shelby Mustang Fastback this is now finished its 100 parts over 2 years and is now waiting for me to build it

Very clever. How do you go about making those multi-curved shapes? Moulding in some way I suppose. But how?
