hi all after some help

with Japanese, imperial, marines, uniform color,s as with most things Japanese, very hard to find out what the colors should be, ?

and also for the U.S,Marines in the pacific

any help greatly appreciated , :D

Hi Moni, the Japanese uniforms from around the late 1930's onwards are a mixture of of various Khaki greens-I don't think there is a definitive standard colour-there is grey-green, dark green and shades inbetween. Officers had to buy their uniforms so they also differed in colours-tan to olive green.

US marines started out in 1941 issued work fatigues IRC, they started out as a dark sage green but quickly faded to a grey-green. Equipment was a tan brown colour.

oh my why do we have to get ever think right, lol,it drives me nuts,  :D

Hi Monica.

When I did my Kwajalein Atoll dio. on here, I used Vallejo Model Colour- Japan Uniform 923. This is a brush applied acrylic, but if you find a colour chart you should get other types and makes from this number.

For the Marines I painted the figures in the later three colour, cammo. pattern. Much the same as the crouched marine's helmet in Polux's first picture.

I hope this helps
