View attachment 255474Hi all

On with the next project, the bare bones of this have been bouncing around in my head for a long time so time to get it built! There is a ww2 picture of a jeep undergoing repair whilst pushed on its side which is the inspiration coupled with my love of knocking up scratch built scenics, this time to have the jeep repair going on in an overgrown hidden courtyard

Firstly Tamiyas jeep and miniart us army drivers with a set of resin wheels with chains.

Then the base which is totally from scratch using greyboard, egg carton, blue foam, air dry clay and wall filler so far!

Thanks very much, I must admit to being chuffed with the doors.

I added some roofs made with the same tool which is a paint tube squeezer with a corrugated cylinder and base. Instead of running a tube of paint through it is ran thick foil (the kind fast food trays are made of) to create the rusty tin roof. I then fed greyboard through and cut up into individual wavy roof tiles, I love finding cheap but  effective ways to make scenery!

I don't know about anyone else but once I get inspired with a build I get so engrossed that before I know it I'm finished, which has certainly been the case with this one

Today I have painted and weathered the jeep, painted the figures, added Moss and grass to the base aso well as some interest to the background in the form of some beer barrels. Here's the finished results.
