Most will be aware by now that we have lost one of the greats of Rugby Union today. I saw him play once 'in the flesh' and many times on television. He was some player, I doubt we'll see his like again. Here are his fifteen world cup tries back to back, some of them make painful viewing for an Englishman, but not as painful as it was for the Englishmen (and others) who he ran over or discarded like rag dolls :)

RIP Jonah

Steve

Sad day indeed. I pn,y found out this afternoon. RUGBY HAS LOST A GREAT SPORTSMAN.

Yes, very sad. He was a great player and, by all accounts, a lovely guy.

Thanks for sharing that link Steve, what a legend, far, far too young to go like that.

An Awesome guy both on & off the pitch. Watched him playing for my team The Cardiff Blues for a season...

RIP Joe .

Yep, the man was a rugby juggernaut. Had many health issues in his short life, and a donor kidney. He did a great job as a rugby ambassador at the recent World Cup. He returned to New Zealand on Tuesday in what appeared good health and passed away yesterday, Wednesday 18th November. RIP Jonah Lomu.

I'm so glad he lived to see the all blacks make history this rugby world cup.

Very sad news , he was a giant in more than size , RIP Jonah

Very sad to see such a great man passing so young. I haven't seen a report yet that doesn't say how gentle a giant he was but the interview that stuck with me was the one where he described his challenged childhood being directed onto the rugby field to allow him to develop into a much calmer person.

What a great example to us all.
