I have started the AMT Jupiter II from the movie lost in space, scale wise...close to 1/144 I think judging by the seats-no figures thought :( Had a grey coat and parts done in satin black, nothing to do now until it hardens properly. Lots of nice panel lines and detail so hopefully some lovely pin washes should highlight these.

Also an idiot in the work area...oh, dear. :D

Si:)

Nice start on this one Si.

getting seated for this

must try a sci fi model in the future too I think

Cheers Richi

Nice start mate , what colour you painting it ?

I thought it was an off white or very light grey but on film it seems to change from that to a chrome colour

It is supposed to be light grey, blue and white, as this is going to be slightly battered and weathered I may just leave the primer and then do a filter washes with scorch marks. Glad you like it guys.

Here is a update, one side and the engine section coppered-took forever, or seemed to, other side to do. The engines also have had clear orange and red added to just give a hint of thrust. Still some more tidying up on these parts.

Nice bit of wash work there mate ,Oils or inks ?
Neither, Humbrol copper enamel. Once you dab on you can smudge with your finger etc. I want to do some more to it but it needs to dry.

I've no idea what the ship looks like as I've not seen the film, but the engine bit is excellent Si - almost steampunky ;)

It's an odd-looking beastie! The engine section reminds me of a spider's eyes :P

Keep it coming Si, this is excellent!
