PING!!!
Woke up early, so it's time to start painting before the rest of the house stirs. Happy Saturday

Helmet shaded. Right hand finished (steady, now!).
Bought another tin of Bleu Horizon aujourd-hui. So can start the uniform tomorrow, perhaps toned down a little after the No1 turned out a tad bright. There'll be some disparity, but the important thing is to learn and improve.

He has a right arm!
No head, mind, but it's still counts as progress

Hi Folks.
Sorry no pics or posts lately (I know you've been worrying).
I've had some domestic issues to deal with and the dust is still settling, so the model project is away in a cupboard for the time being.
Normal service will be resumed in due course.
Cheers

Have started back on the Poilu Chauchat vignette. Slow progress as and when I get the chance to do some painting.
Dust still far from settled at home, so not much opportunity to model, but the will is there once more.
I'll try and get a photo up soon.
Cheers.

As things settle down, progress has resumed on the French WW1 vignette.
I'm optimistic about completing it this summer/autumn. Will try and get photos on here soon.

As promised, here are a few progress shots of the WW1 vignette so far.
Still a long way to go, but it's a very jolly project - albeit in a scale that's smaller than I usually paint figures.
Ground work is something to consider soon: mud & debris, which should be interesting.
When it's finished, I'll open a thread in the right place and put the pics there.
Will need to give it a title; something pithy and relevant to the period. Hmmm... research beckons.

Thanks all.
Photography leaves something to be desired but I'll post better when it's done. It'll be over by Christmas...

Thanks all.
I appreciate your feedback and compliments. The figs are ICM models.
They do a good range of WW1 infantry subjects. Nice quality and they come with a comprehensive sprue of kit.

A bit of colour matching tonight.
Still have to shade this arm and finish the highlighting.
