well, ive started it at last! this is going to be keith moon.. drummer from the band the who...driving his rolls royce into a swimming pool. car is from miniart and very basic and toylike. originally i painted it black with a silver top, but the silver crazed when i applied a clear laquer. now im going for two tone green. the chrome is awful so im going to overpaint it all and apply metallic humbrol 11. this is the bottom tone that ive finished with clear humbrol 35 gloss. now to mask up for the upper colour.

the base needs loads more doing to it, water splash etc. next job is to make a small pool ladder. the car needs touching up and number plates added

hi moni...ive made the water from acrylic sheet glazing for the initial water surface. then cut out a hole for the car to sit in. the open end of the base also has the glazing so you are able to see underwater. the water wave is just clear plastic food packaging curled over to create a shape for building the siliconeView attachment 84603

Apparently, the man from the RR showroom turned up at the studios where the Who were recording to get paid, as Moon had charged it to the band. Pete Townshend told him to 'go away' and bill it to Moon himself!
