Hi All,

The Kingfisher OS2 is not going well. It seems everytime I pick it up I screw it up. I'm close to giving up on this one as a "bad lot". Perhaps I should just box it up and start something else and pick this one up again later on.

Does anyone else have this problem???? or is it just me?????

Cheers

Peter

This happens to myself occasionally and you have already had the best idea box it and return at a later date I have one sitting awaiting my return because some of these little blighters just like to test your patience problem after problem anyways good luck with the rest of it I'm sure you will see it through :badcomputer1:

Nope you are far from alone on that. I have a Swordfish where the supplied PE tensioning wires are to short.... Me no understand. Every thing lines up except those darn wires!

Time to take a break and do some thing else.

I put it down to a tie of year thing. Deep inside the 'primeval' in us is saying "Its spring, get off your butt and do something!" Ignoring these feelings can be detrimental to your health, especially if the voice in your head is SWMBO...

Well I managed to get the tensioning wires on (Many thanks to Martin for sending me some wire) .......... They look pretty good.

.......... and I have finally got the cockpits masked up and it's now in primer. It's a sort of pale greyish with a little bit of khaki ish at the moment. I had a few nearly finished paints so I mixed them together with some thinner and used that...... I'll leave it for tomorrow and Saturday I can paint the underside. I've elected on an Off White / Ivory. Once that is on I'll take a photo.

Good sleep Peter then back onto it. Find that works wonders.

Ian as we both have had problems I think it is Tamiya. Just cut off the top of the PE a little bit. Drill out the holes in the underside of the top wing & thread the PE in. Super glue the bottom connection & leave the top one floating free. The wing deflection then does not affect the PE. Not as nice a connection at the top as intended but this method works & unless you are stringing it up to view the u/s you cannot see it.

Yep, I think we have all had kits which test us beyond the point of patience. Best to do a nice little 'easy in between' kit I find, it rejuvenates the enthusiasm.
