So in between running the GSA I stumbled across the fun that can be had with a Resin Printer.

For the last two weeks I have been playing about with my new Elegoo Mars 2 Pro Resin printer and have to say its a blast, steep learning curve but when you figure the principles the possibilities are endless.

Any way here is my first printed and painted model - stands about 80mm tall.

I Don't profess to be an expert figure painter but the great thing about this is that if you goof, just print another.

Does anyone else have a 3d Printer they mess about with ?

Hi Warren,

That is a really nice piece you've made and the painting is also great. Today's technology is fantastic and to be able to create such things is hard to believe. I'd love a 3d printer, but unfortunately, I don't have enough human organs to sell to get one. I can dream though..........

The Elegoo Mars is on the jungle for £185, the Mars Pro 2 which printed that is about £275 at the minute.

Wow, I didn't know they were that inexpensive. I had a figure in my head for around €1500-€2000 to get one that printed such fine details. I will definitely have a look about and see what's out there in the marketplace....Do they come with software or is that an extra cost???

Thanks for the info Warren and maybe I will only have to sell a kidney to get one.....Only joking of course............
