I just checked Future (klear) on Amazon in the States and when i was ready to go to checkout, it said "can't send this by air service"

Glad you found it Andy, I bet they wondered what the hell you are going to do with all that Ammonia!

You were probably under surveillance by special branch from the moment you used your debit card and will be for the next few days , in fact I bet the boffin's are trying to work out how Johnson's Klear fits in with the theory?

A couple of you have suggested using diluted ammonia to clean your airbrush after spraying Klear. I'm sure I read somewhere that ammonia can damage the chrome finish on an A/B. I want to spray some Klear (new style) soon and don't want to b****r up my new A/B - what's the best way to clean up afterwards?

I use my standard airbrush cleaner Dave, full strength blue screen wash, a couple of colour cups full should do it. Not had any issues yet. Main thing is not to let the Klear dry out. Only time this did happen to me I ended up cleaning it with cellulose thinners which I tend to use for the final full clean before putting away the airbrush anyway.

Although on prefer Humbrol Clear, I do the same as Graham & use windscreen wash to clean the AB.


I've found that using a low pressure (10 PSI) gives the best results.
