My second of these superb Kotare Spitfires and it wont be my last.

This is an early Mk V which has some interesting details having been repainted from the original Dark Earth scheme, painted in the field. Four things in particular stick out, see if you can spot them.

Superb job Barry. Is one of the four things that most of the airframe stencils and the wing walk way lines have been overpainted? Oh, and the wheel wells are still in their original Sky colour.

Correct.

The other two is the Sky fuselage band painted along a slanted panel line, clearly because it’s easier than doing it vertically as all ‘paint shop’ production aircraft are done. The other is the black propeller back-plate as they clearly just removed the spinner to paint sky separately.
