This issue of it isn’t exactly recent either — look at what it says on the box top just below the illustration :)

Wow Paul, that Frog must have made a long bunch of hops to the USSR...…….

I'll get my coat...…………….

And on the other hand, besides 4 fingers and a thumb, the Postie brought this puppy on Tuesday. Yea, kinda against my no kit rule, but

how can you say no to €23 delivered to the door. The only downside is it's not molded in the red plastic like my Tiger II kit is and there aren't enough hatches to be left open to display all the innards. The horror, the horror….....

Hi Chris,

I would love to build it as there are so many detailed parts. With luck, maybe next year after I retire and have more time. This year is booked up I'm afraid!!!

This arrived today for making deep pour water effects. I've used a lot of CFS products in the past and hopefully this will be just as good as the more expensive modelling stuff you can get.

And these guys :smiling5: A little anorexic but once painted up to look more like Russian (Romanov) sheep they'll do.

If you check out a Youtuber called Luke APS, he swears by this stuff for deep pours.

I've seen a few of his videos including one where he tested three different resins. It helped me pick this particular one as he showed it being foam safe, so I'm hoping it won't dissolve my model either!

Real nice buy there scratchy. Can't wait to see how the water works for you.

Like my moniker, "Life's too short to be a (skinny) sheep", LMAO!!! Did you remember to buy that set of 1/72 fish to go with the water???

I'll get me coat and hat...………………………………….

A bargain - Stalingrad models produce a nice set of figures for the King Tiger. I have them and they are nice, not cheap, but nice.

Oh don't encourage him Peter, :smiling3::smiling2: he goes to a show with Fernando and come back loaded with parts !

Oh Peter,

The figures are really nice and I have looked at them a few times, but I'm no figure painter unfortunately...

And please don't mind Mr. Race. He doesn't know what he is talking about...We buy only needed things!!!

Hope all is well with you Sir!

I think one should take a chance in evilbay every once in a while. A seller was offering a Tauchpanzer, but the picture shown was of a T-34 with a flak 38 Vierling mounted on it. No other info was given and it started out at €10. Following my "no kit rule", I knew it couldn't be a complete resin kit. I won it for €10 and here is what I got,

A conversion to make a Pz. IV Ausf. D into a U-Boat. Sadly, you don't get any torpedo's with it. Here's what you do get,

IMG_1929.JPG
The bag with the metal parts contains the MG cover and the modified exhaust system for underwater use. On the right are the covers for the air intakes and the barrel end. It uses the Tamiya kit of the Ausf. D as a basis. Worth a tenner I think!!!

Here's some more loft insulation acquired over the last couple of weeks, been a little busy with everything else!!

From Germany an old Black Dog Land Rover 6x6

Some more Historex spares for the Scots Greys Charge
I only needed a number 4 for the cuirassier's valise, but the helmet and chin scales will save me a lot of mucking about so it was a no-brainer really.
I'll still have to scratch the inside liner though.
This hussar insignia set is really useful., and with all the buckles as well as the numbers etc it's very good value at £1.25, compared to the 6 buckles set I bought for 80p
