I’ve got a few of these Peter, you can get some nice subtle effects with them. I’ve found they are best used on a Matt surface though otherwise they don’t really stick.

Geoff.

More of an impulse buy. Certainly not something I actually need.

I do like pistol grip airbrushes. I have one already as well as my H&S and an Iwata. So clearly I don't need it!!
The one I have already only has a 0.3 nozzle/needle.

This Gaahleri comes with 3 needle/nozzle combinations, two paint cups and even a tube of lub. Very well packed and quickly delivered. Cost was £108 with a 10% discount. At first look it seems well made and the trigger is smooth. Maybe a little bigger and heavier than the Mr Procon AB.

The big advantage of pistol grip airbrushes is the way the double action operates. Airbrush advice is Air on, Paint on, Paint off, Air off. On the 'normal' AB this means trigger down, trigger back, trigger forward, lift off trigger. This sequence minimises tip dry and paint splatter. With the pistol grip AB the sequence is automatic. The first movement turns on air and then pull back further for paint, release the trigger and paint is turned off before the air.

Bit more stock, 1/200 Yamato part of middle superstructure and funnel. Fujimi 1/350 Fuso and Yamashiro pagoda bridges. The most impressive bridges ever, totally bonkers. The boxs are the same for some reason 20260203_145938.webp

Also very good ship cradle for 1/700 & 1/350. Revolves on the base and tilts.

Hi Jim, I use a Iwata trigger because of pain in fingers using a double action one. Found it very easy to use. Might have a look at this one
