Just had the first of my new kits turn up, my plan is to swap most of my stash to the 1:32 Tamiya ones over time, I'm that impressed with them.
A few others bits and pieces snuck in as well :)

Now forgive the shameless plug but if your on Facebook you need to look up Mike Jolly via his Model kits for Less page, you can send him the details od a kit and he'll get back to you with a price the majority of the time cheaper than anywhere else and often including postage.

I paid just £93 for the Spitfire delivered in two days! He also runs a savings scheme where you can lay away kits or put money to one side in advance of kit releases, I've done this for the new Eduard F4 Phantom Good Evening Da Nang.

In my opinion his customer service is second to none.

I regularly peruse both Mikes E store and also Veteranus models also on FB.

Both very professional some really good deals.

That Eduard F4 Phantom that you are saving for can be bought direct from their website with 20% off during their VE Day offer; about £28 plus shipping.

I'm paying less than that through Mike Jolly, already paid for and shipped from Eduard :)

These arrived from Hannants today, I've just always fancied doing an AS-90 and since seeing how good the Trumpeter Warrior kit is this was a no brainer. The CMK engine set is for an EE Lightning but that's not what I got it for initially, it's to act as a scratch build scale reference for a Rolls Royce Spey engine I'm thinking of building for another project I have in mind. I was inspired by the article in the link below,
http://www.helmo.gr/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2184&Itemid=1

I would have had a splurge on the Airfix VE offers but I blew my allowance on these and some stuff from Eduard's VE Day offers.

Nice one Gregg and with the decking. I've got the same kit up in the loft but without the decking I will have to get it down soon
I think I made this purchase without thinking it through properly.

As it was only £50 including postage I couldn't resist it.

I like to make all my models, working models. The wooden deck would be a problem as it will swell in water. :(

The instructions even state "Do Not Use Acrylic Paints" as this will cause the wood to expand!!

I think for once I'll just make a display model. :(

I picked this up last night £ 5.00 ............. It's an old kit and the decals are probably "shot" but it looks well detailed. I'm not really sure why I bought it ??? I don't normally do "Tanks"

Nice one Colin! Whilst it might lack the detail of more modern kits, a fiver isn't too much to cut your teeth on armoured stuff!

I'd steer clear of the box art - the panzer IV F1/2 was the up-gunned Ausf D using the L/48 75mm if memory serves.

Most of these saw service in North Africa, so an Afrika Corps paint scheme would be ideal.

I've done a little research on this and I agree.......... I think the Afrika Corps Ausf G is probably the way forward when I finally get around to it. When I finish what I'm on at the moment, next on the bench is a ship "Knyaz Suvarov" at that might take a good while.
