My first idea was a maritime long dock!! :)

The cargo TIII by Wolkswagen (Takom) is ideal as a complement!

Thanks guy's, I'm really happy with the haul, the one that I'm excited about is the resin Panzershop Russo Balt truck, although the Takom fug 2.5 t looks the business;)

Ahh, a proper racing car not one of those new dangled monocoque frisbee things you see these days.....

Well whilst nosing around in our LMS (had some gift vouchers from christmas burning a hole in my pocket)(well I say local 17 miles away)

I was intending to get some plastic safe paint stripper and other supplies so I could get back on the GT500 but I spied this.

I must say on opening the box (considering its a Tamiya kit) I'm a bit disappointed the engine is moulded in one piece on the chassis.

I think that is very disappointing for a 50 quid model

They have done this with a few kits. I would rather not have the engine detail and leave the bonnet shut

I'm building this one now!!!!! :) :) :)

The engine has three more pieces....and looks fine, almost it seems :)

Got these delivered yesterday (Sat 6th). Not bad as I only ordered them on the Sunday before - all the way from Japan and free postage!

I've looked at both and all I can say is, if you're a Star Wars fan - BUY THEM! You won't be disappointed. Some pics of what you get with the Starfighter kit:

Nice, clear instructions:

Markings are supplied both as stickers and waterslide decals which look very nice - and very detailed too. There are three separate decals for the pilot's helmet!

Only a handful of sprues in multiple colours:

I've tried to get shots to show the level of detail on the parts. If any details look soft, that's down to my poor photography skills - not the parts, which are pin sharp and totally free from flash and seam lines. There are lots of ejector marks, but 90% of those are on the sprues and not the parts themselves. The few that are on actual parts are miniscule and will all be hidden on assembly :

On the strength of these two, I've ordered four more of the kits - the two different Tie fighters in 1/72 and a Snowspeeder and AT-ST in 1/48. There's a 1/48 AT-AT on the way apparently which is also on my buy list.

Pricewise they are slightly more expensive than comparable 1/72 aircraft from the likes of Tamiya and Hasegawa, but I've got all my six kits for well under £150 including postage. I consider that to be excellent value for money given the quality of the kits.

Don't just take my word for how good they are. Check out the video builds that Phil Flory has done .....

PS I forgot to mention. They are basically snap together kits so they can be built straight OOB with no glue or paint needed if you want - just some heavy weathering needed to pop out the details and bring them into line with the generally 'grubby' appearance of all the Star Wars ships from the films. They're ideal for kids too as they could build a good looking model with no need for any modelling skills other than care and attention.

PPS Forgot to include pic of the markings:

PPPS I've also just bought the 1/144 Millennium Falcon and Slave 1!

This beauty came today, but the Wife beat me to the postie and spotted it:eek: luckily for me, the postie also delivered some shoes for the little treasure, so I think I can say that I didn`t get the usual:mad:

Postie dropped this off yesterday, old kit, detail isn't great and the plastic is thick but 1/48 tempests seem hard to get hold of so beggers can't be choosersView attachment 246833
