Nice, I bought the flexi attachment for the drill and they are good. This should be great for sanding and shaping

Have had to put my Gato on hold for the moment, so going to have a go at my first aircraft kit (except my R/C ones) in 40+yrs.
These came today, just don't know which to start first.

Nice. I would choose the OV-10D by Kittyhawk. Better fit and it will frustrate you less. The Uhu is for a lot more experienced aircraft modellers, and the radar, undercarriage, schräge musik and props are a real mess Best to use an AM replacement for those. They are available from master, SAC and quickboost

Although I'm a late returner to plastic model planes. I have been building boats as in my S-100 & Gato threads, both have had varying degrees of plastic bashing.

I like a challenge, and the 'Owl' will have quite a few changes anyway.

Now that's a father's day present. I'll bet that's a big model, is it a new tool? I'm offshore so no father's day for me :(

( don't tell the wife, I just won a halcyon aliens power loader and a drop ship ) oops.

don't know if its a new tool but it looks like it could be.

im sure your Fathers Day present will be there when you get home.... That is as long as your wife does not read the forum & finds out about your Win LOL :D :D...

I took myself into downtown Osaka today and visited a couple of model shops - M's Plus, Hobbyland and Joshin. The first two were "proper" privately owned model shops and the third was a chain shop but still an experience to behold. I bought the tools and Sea King kits in the first shop. I found a very nice fine tipped scriber and a another scriber but with a different tip.

I saw the 1/144 Sea King kits and had to buy them, they are a cheaper and easier solution to a 202 Sqn diorama I have had in mind for a long time - it means I can sell off the 1/48 Hasegawa version that will likely not get built. They were going for about £25 over here.

Hasegawa kits galore in all of the shops but in Joshin they have an entire floor dedicated to Tamiya models from all of their catalogue - and no, I didn't see their new Mosquito. Hobbyland had a glass cabinet with various models on display some of which I have added - the Caen diorama was very impressive.

I've heard that Tamiya's lemon scented glue is supposed to be highly regarded as an adhesive - is this true?
