If I was you John I'd bin the astin Martin it's an awfull kit and I mean awful\ said:Not the biggest and best bargain from the car boot today but a couple of airfix sows ears ##### sorry classics to play about with £10 for the pair View attachment 123863
Its a shame they make kits like that so badly. The kits are ment for beginners to get into modelling but would put most off!\ said:If I was you John I'd bin the astin Martin it's an awfull kit and I mean awful
I agree Paul I ended up turning mine into an abandoned in a barn dio you couldn't build it as a car without major surgery to it\ said:Its a shame they make kits like that so badly. The kits are ment for beginners to get into modelling but would put most off!
Lol cheers Alan I knew they were pants before I brought them but I don't know what it is with me as I always like to try to make the best of a bad thing or situation don't know if that's a blessing or a curse.but as Paul said if it was your 1st kit ever it would be enough to put you off modelling for life.Kits should be rated and these two should be rated as an X.But to be fair to Airfix they are making great improvements of late and hopefully these kind of kits with their very dated mouldings will be banished into room 101 eventually. In the meantime I'll have some fun trying to knock these into some very average looking models and hopefully keep my sanity. And maybe next time just walk right on by similar little horrors at the next car boot. But in my defence the guy selling them did have a look of desperation and I just did the Christian thing.\ said:If I was you John I'd bin the astin Martin it's an awfull kit and I mean awful

Nice one guys. I agree about the airfix, I'd try to make something nice myself. Practise and skill building.\ said:Not the biggest and best bargain from the car boot today but a couple of airfix sows ears ##### sorry classics to play about with £10 for the pair View attachment 123863
It's 1/200 so would be dwarfed next to the Nimrod.\ said:Looks interesting Rick, and would look good next to Granddaddy Nimrod.

Btw, Hasegawa throw the status/name limited edition around like anything. It really does ruin it in my opinion. For example, the eduard limited editions are so much better. The hasegawa ones have a special scheme and that's about it. At the best, you get a bit of white metal, resin and PE. And they come at a whopping price....
