HI guys & Gals, It is with much heart and sorry that I must again bid you all farewell as I'm leaving this forum. It's not the only one I'm departing there are others you see I'm in too many and can't keep up with what I'm in there are some that have quotas on how many messages you have to write and some of these I'm leaving as well, also my wife's health comes first. I'm not stopping my build on cardstock as they are the cheapest form of model building I've have and will not give it up. I'm also waiting for the website Fidlers to come back on line so I can buy a couple of planes from them. So with a heavy heart and much sorry I bid you farewell and maybe one day be back under another name who knows in this big world. :peace:

Keep on Model Building

Family always comes first so it's the right thing to do to spend more time with your wife. I know you've had some challenges recently but hope that things will stabilise a bit more and you cen return to us a t a later date.

We don't use a quota system here so there is no harm in leaving your membership open for your return as and when you are able.

Meanwhile all the very best from us all to you and your wife.

Russell your posts have always been very valued here especially as they have helped many people in their hobby, come back when you are ready,we wish you all the best for the future in your health and happiness.

This is Dingo's wife writing this so please excuse any mistakes I may do, as U all know Dingo has had heart problems and again on christmas day I took him to the local hospital as he was complaining of chest pain it worries me a lot but this it turn out to be nothing but over eating and too much soft drink (truly neither of us drink) so we're lucky this time again he is now on a stronger dose of asprin as the 100mg was not enough. Everyone I know you do think of him and he will retrn one day I have told him that as U are all good friends to him and he talks a lot about the forum and how they like how he has improved on his cardstock, if U had ahve seen some of his ealry attempts U would fall of U'r seats in laughter but now he builds better models. The doctors have told him to keep on it as it's good therapy and so he will I'll make sure of it so till he returns I thank you for your patience in reading this thread and reply and sorry it's so long.

Regards to you all

Dingo's wife Kerin. :dancing1: he told me to use this one.

I hope that things stabilise for him a bit over the next year and he will be able to start writing again occassionally but obviously is health comes first.

Please feel free to post a message occassionally to keep us updated and pass on our best wishes to Dingo.

Finally all the very best for the New Year, we all wish you a happy and prosperous one.

HI Again, from dingo's wife I am just writing to let you all know that he goes under the knife on Jan 15th to correct his heart beat via a pace maker, this is not to keep his heart going as the doctors have said that it is good and strong but it is to bring his heart into a better beating ryhem instead of going say from a normal heart beat of 97 beats per minute up to 170 then drpping back to 100 then racing again to 130 this oace maker will regular his heart at a steady 97 beats per minute so it should keep him good from now on or from the 15th on. I know you all love his work as he speaks of the praise he gets when he place one of his models on here and also of the friendship he has gained and the help he has got from you all so I guess you will all pray for him even though many of you aren't religious that doesn't matter it's the thought that counts, I'll let you know how he is after the 15th so for now I'll say cheers and talk soon.

We all wish him well Kerin and look forward to hearing from him again. It's very kind of you to keep us updated like this, I'm sure that Russell will appreciate the contact that he can still have with us here.

All the very best to you both for the New Year, lets hope that the 15th brings you both some piece of mind and a renewed lease of life.

Hi Richard, thank you for your kind words I'll pass them on to Dingo (Russell) for you he is so far doing well in the cardiac section of our local but major hospital, he is comfortable and they are looking after him reall good it looks like the pace maker surgery is being brought forward as his heart is start to do silly things and they are concerned so it is now scheduled for the 10th unless things go real bad, I know it's 5 days awau but they are trying to stablise his heart through drugs and that concerns me as Russell has never had as much as a headache pill in his life (well not while he's been with me) he has been a fairly fit guy and as a Scout Leader and earlier a scout his whole life revolved round bush walking and the like maybe that's what kept him going all this time. Anyway I'll keep you all informed of what is happening and let you know his progress.

Hi all, Just got back from the hospital today and sudden thought wow haven't let any of the card forum people know how Dingo is going, so here's the poop as we say here in Oz. He has had his op and is doing good the doc's say he can come home :dancing1: from hospital on monday 28th which is good as I miss him terribly but he can't do alot of work now as he is now well down on energy than he use to be, it looks like we are going to be reliant on ooutside help now so we will be applying for a carer for the both of us now and on the model building side of this he will be able to that as it is not heavy work. I have bought him a couple of new plastic models for him to work on as soon as he's home and one will be a big surprise as I know he's been after it ever since he saw it on the net and that is the Revell Cityliner coach so now he can spend time building that into his dream motorhome. So for now that's about it and will let U all know how he's doing in the next couple of days.

Hi Kerin,

Thanks for the good news and I am sure I am not the only one on here who wishes Russell a speedy recovery. I hope that he does enjoy the kits you have bought him, should certainly bring a smile to his face and of course give him something to keep him occupied whilst he is on the mend.

Best Wishes to both of you and I hope all goes well.

Regards........Mark.

Kerin, Please pass on all our best wishes to Dingo and tell him we are all thinking of him. He is certainly lucky to have a wife who buys him models and who obviously thinks so much of him.

Good luck to you both, we all look forward to hearing from Dingo in hopefully the not too distant future.

HI Guys, just writing to let you all know that Dingo is home and doing good he will be back on his feet this coming Monday 26th which is well ahead of time which just goes to show how fit he is. The problem wasn't that bhis heart was bad or anything like that it turned out to be the asprin that they gave him to keep his blood thin, it actually thinned it out too much and allowed the heart to speed up then slow down and do it all again, ayway the pace maker is now fitted and doing good and keeping him going so he'll be back with you all in the next week or two. When he saw his 2 new models he flipped and then when I told him that the Cityliner Coach was on laybuy so in about 8 weeks a photo will appear here for all to see.

Cheers for now.

Kerin, one happy wife :dancing1:
