Here’s another one I’m going to attempt to build a Diorama for pushing my comfort zone hard on this build it may be a epic fail. Please be gentle. Using a price of plastic cylinder with Aluminum foil wrapped around it to give the walls texture Cut my pattern then painted it with some cheap craft paint A85316FB-B62F-42DB-B2C9-25A23D720621.jpeg9E446E03-8321-4A85-A2ED-94984623C4DB.jpeg66D0FD38-6853-4447-83D3-6A298E450700.jpegI cut the windows out then manipulated the tops of the walls. Still not done more updates later.

Did some more work on the diorama today. Going to let things dry and set up I might add some more stuff. 9FB2F60E-A401-4D83-9945-84E659CB36A0.jpeg3E9F7F64-4758-41F5-944C-859A72134AD5.jpegWhat I used for ground cover was some extra Hog Feed we ran one day at the Feed Mill I sifted it and been using it on some of my Layouts thought I would try it looks good to me F5DC6D6E-FC00-431A-AE6E-C82E7B860F17.jpeg9676402B-FB56-42B2-B03D-B161F71E3A16.jpeg968BEE94-8964-40B6-921D-E831A474DC59.jpegE151CEAF-3C29-4CE3-BA83-26EC7131671A.jpeg692DB9E8-4335-4D72-A6F5-6029520A89EF.jpegB80209A8-3CC8-4516-A92A-006AB5593653.jpeg

This Evening I crushed some rocks out of my driveway and added them to the Diorama. Think I’m calling it done for the Dio. Next I need to weather the Tracks on Tank. I added “Rubble” to the edges of the building from the fines of the rock I crushed. 5D472D6C-7D19-4BD1-8B37-E8F149870858.jpegB0B187AD-69CD-407A-8836-A9EBDDA0BC0D.jpeg02869FAF-79C3-40E8-9F46-A3A5EA1A40FE.jpegD80A2441-B68F-4805-A7C8-DBA887D60EB9.jpeg9F32C06B-574C-49C9-94CE-914BF29D5282.jpegD5C4CE32-CF98-492A-8B80-E6A86D0150ED.jpeg4D505D4E-DB5E-4ABB-8204-E3193048E9CE.jpeg9CE4741C-7282-4933-B764-A2BEF2C685EA.png2B665C9B-2817-4A6C-A617-85A532CC0234.jpegCF9A3244-6ACF-433A-A599-CD6EE9F23005.jpeg

That very effective Lee. Hog feed and crushed driveway stones! Not common modelling materials :smiling:

Hi Lee, that looks great!
You had me when I saw the name of the first color: "Toasted Marshmallow". How cool is that? Gotta love it! :smiling5:

This morning I weathered the tracks up on the Tank by painting a Water/Glue mix on the tracks then adding some real dirt to them. Then super glued it to the base. Going to clean the base paint it and give the final in Completed Diorama’s. Thanks for all the likes and
complements.

'Why buy stuff for a base
Ron I really appreciate the Complement. I was thinking that as I was tidying up the Base and Tank. I’m a fool to buy those High Dollar Diorama ground cover when I have loads of it here around the Farm and my area. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Lee.
Also, for future reference, keep in mind to have a look around your place for scale trees, bushes and undergrowth. I've never bought or made any of these either. Why go to the trouble of making these (nice though some are) when they can all be found growing under the modeller's feet. You can always rely on mother nature to produce the goods.....It's great fun foraging too.

I look forward to the next installment. :thumb2:

One step a head of you brother. I found some small Oak twigs down by the barn the other day for another small Diorama. Going to give it a shot anyway. Yes it’s a lot of fun searching for ideas. I’ll be starting another Diorama very soon for my 1/72 scale stuff. Thanks again.

Never attempted anything like that. I'll remember to look at what I have before I start spending £££'s!! or $$$' !!

Yeah it’s easy to just Spend the money and put it on there but I’m leaning more towards the aspects of the creation of natural resources any more. I’ve done this a little bit on my Layouts and thought why not bring to Millitary Modeling.
