Fantastic work Steve and a very fitting piece. Did you scratch it, or is it a kit?

Peter

I do like that a lot, a very unique piece, I've never seen a memorial type statue before.
I assume he is 1/35 scale, very fitting as our Veterans day is Nov 11. here in the U.S.

By the way I have a SMLE (later version without pug nose muzzle, makes a great deer rifle with hollow point ammo and a jungle carbine.

Thanks for the input everyone

The figure is a purchase, I wish I could sculpt!

It's a 120mm 1/16 WWI British Infantryman, Reverse Arms, sculpted by Maurice Corry

Super figure, very little clean up and a plinth from modeldisplayproducts.

I just applied a stone look paint effect, and photographed it.

I had hoped to do something little more in depth,

but after long dry spell with no modelling or painting, it has provided a spark to light the creative fire.

It was all very last minute, after being nominated to carve a pumpkin for our team Halloween decorating competition at work.

Weirdly, it inspired me, so I rounded up the figure to do something relevant for a 14-18 GB I was in, but hadn't really engaged with.

That's everything, so thanks again and hopefully more to come

Regards

A great find and the finish you gave it certainly added to the pose.:thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:
