Anyone else going to this one?
I'm hoping to be there, its about 45 mins from me, so I hope to be there nice and early.
This will be my first ever model show....

If I can I'll take a few pics, but I'm also hoping to maybe pick up a few kits, a nice Lanc and/or a Bentley would be on my wishlist.
Looks like rain tomorrow, but hopefully that will not dampen the visit too much.

Looking forward to it....

Edit, should have added link...

Pick up 'a few kits'? Hahahahahahahahaha

peter.....dont know how big the show is but if its like ones ive been to then take plenty of cash cos you wont be able to help your self.....especially since its your first show........kid and sweet shop will come to mind.....i went into spending frenzy my first show lol

In all seriousness dont just look at kits.......look at things like tools and paint and accessories.....its easy to get blinded by what you see

Above all else have fun!

Well I had a nice couple of hours at the above show.
TBH it was quite small, only about four or five model club stands and only about half a dozen seller stands.
But, it was in the Manston Museum, so had a good look around that too as a bonus.
Yes, I did buy a couple of kits..... 8-)
Took a few pics, so will upload them, some nice models on display, and the museum also has its own model displays, so lots of models to see.
Went into the neighbouring "Spitfire" cafe' and had a nice full English prior to going into the show, so that I was not working on an empty stomach, Lol....

Photos....
There were a few ejector seats and plane seats on display, so thought they might be useful for the plane buffs to have a gander at...

Spoke to a few of the guys at the club stands....
One of my fave models to see was the little black Sub, HMS Astute, which was apparently 3D printed and the sea scape was made from kitchen tin foil and the painted over.

Another was the little yellow fighter with the minion, (Count Manfred Von Banana), not sure how he fits in the plane though, a slight scale problem there methinks.

Apparently that yellow plane also had a "clay" wash, which apparently is really easy to apply, can be wiped off easily and dries really fast (eg: five minutes or so), according to the guy on the stand anyway?

Also really liked the little diorama with figures simply called "Defeat", a really well done scene IMHO.

And lastly I liked the museums model of a little Sopwith Camel, with no covering on the frame, which was actually stood next to a full size SC in the background.
